Anime Vanguards Trait Reroll Guide
Traits are passive bonuses attached to a unit that can dramatically change how it performs. A top-tier unit with a weak trait can lose to a lesser unit with a great one, which is why rerolling traits is one of the most impactful things you can do for your account.
How rerolling works
You spend Trait Rerolls to replace a unit’s current trait with a new random one. Better traits are rarer, so hitting an S-tier trait can take many attempts. Some traits, like Deadeye, have a pity — a guaranteed result after a set number of rerolls — which makes them more reliable to chase than purely luck-based traits.
Reroll priority
Not every unit deserves your rerolls. Spend them where they multiply your team’s output:
- Your main carry — chase a top damage trait (Monarch, Ethereal, Deadeye).
- A secondary DPS — Blitz is an easy, strong damage uplift.
- Economy/farm units — Fortune for income, not damage traits.
- Supports — Solar for extra range and coverage.
Everything else can keep whatever it rolls until it earns a permanent slot on your team.
Damage traits worth chasing
- Monarch — massive stat boost; the premium carry trait.
- Ethereal — roughly a 4x damage multiplier, but limited to one placement, so all your investment goes into a single copy.
- Deadeye — crit chance and crit damage, with a pity around 400 rerolls that makes it a dependable target.
- Blitz — much faster attacks; the best budget damage trait.
Utility traits worth keeping
- Fortune — more income or cheaper placement; ideal on farm units.
- Solar — extra range with small damage and attack-speed gains; great on supports.
- Marksman — a pure range boost when you can’t hit anything better.

FAQ
Which trait is the best?
For pure single-unit damage, Ethereal and Monarch are the most coveted, with Deadeye close behind and easier to hit thanks to its pity. The 'best' trait still depends on the unit's role — economy units want Fortune, not raw damage.
Should I reroll every unit?
No. Only invest Trait Rerolls into units you intend to keep long term — usually your main carry and a key support. Rerolling units you will replace is wasted resources.
